Rankin’s Cricket Club is pleased to announce that the club’s new outdoor nets are now installed and ready for the season ahead.
The new facility represents an important investment in the club’s future and will provide players across the men’s, women’s and junior sections with a high-quality space to train and develop their skills throughout the coming season.
The project was part funded through a grant from Enovert, helping the club improve its training facilities and create more opportunities for players to practise. The nets will be used regularly for outdoor club training, coaching sessions and individual practice, supporting players of all ages and abilities as they develop their game.
Official opening at Sign On Day
The nets will be officially opened at Rankin’s Sign On Day on 10th April, giving members their first opportunity to check them out.
Players attending Sign On Day are encouraged to bring their kit along, as there will be opportunities for casual play and training, as well as a chance to see the new facility in action. The bar will also be open, so members and families are welcome to stay and enjoy the start of the new season together.
From junior players taking their first steps in cricket to experienced players refining their technique, the new nets will play an important role in helping everyone at Rankin’s improve and enjoy the game.
Please help us look after them
The new nets are a fantastic addition to the club, and we ask all members to help take care of the facility so it can be enjoyed for many seasons to come.
Please make sure that:
- The nets are used responsibly
- Equipment is treated with care
- The area is left tidy after use
By looking after the nets, everyone helps protect a facility that will benefit the whole club.
